Milestones
| Milestone | Services | Deliverables | Acceptance Criteria | Timeframe |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Milestone 1 – Foundation & Screening | Project inception and research design confirmed with the Cardano Product Committee; documentation of the internal validation (VAL-001 to VAL-006) evidence baseline as applicant-supplied conflicted evidence, including independent technical review; desk research on the L2 and interoperability landscape; and screening of candidate use cases, interoperability pathways and respondents, leading to a finalised respondent shortlist and stakeholder access check. | Research design document; preliminary VAL-case evidence set; desk research summary; screening report; stakeholder access status update. | A complete research design document is delivered, clearly outlining research objectives, methodology and rationale; the VAL evidence baseline is documented and independently reviewed; and the screening report and respondent shortlist are complete. | Milestone 3 – Analysis & Draft Deliverables | Classification of all blockers across the barrier taxonomy; final value-flow classifications for every screened interoperability pathway; compilation of the interoperability requirements register and the provider and partner opportunity analysis; and production of the full draft deliverable set with interim and draft reviews. | Draft L2 Barrier Analysis; Draft L2 Demand Map; Draft Interoperability Requirements Register; Draft Interoperability Value-Flow Assessment; Draft Provider and Partner Opportunity Analysis; Draft Investment Sequencing Recommendation; Draft Evidence Threshold Framework; Draft Cross-RFP Handoff Memo; Draft Executive Decision Memo. | Draft findings complete and ready for Cardano Product Committee review; recommendations supported by evidence; documents complete; and stated methodology followed. | 30/09/2026 |
| Milestone 4 – Final Deliverables & Publication | Incorporation of Cardano Product Committee feedback; finalisation of all sixteen required deliverables; delivery of the final presentation to the Product Committee; and publication of the public summary following approval, together with the community knowledge-sharing activities. | Final Research Report; Final Presentation; Public Summary (published post-approval); all supporting deliverables in final form; and community knowledge-sharing video and live Q&A. | Applicable RFP requirements satisfied; all proposal commitments satisfied; all documents complete; publication completed; live presentation and community Q&A completed. | 15/10/2026 |
